We will design and draw your eyebrows, eyeliner or lip-liner on your face for your approval before the procedure commences. There is no substitute for experience in this business. Permanent cosmetic procedures are semi-invasive, in that the skin is broken in order for the implantation of pigment to occur. Proper sterilisation procedures and personal protection equipment and clothing are necessary for your safety as well as the protection of the technician/artist/practitioner.

Why are good eyebrows so important?

Eyebrows can make the most dramatic difference to the basic symmetry and enhancement of the face it makes you years younger. Anyone desiring fullness or definition to their eyebrows will benefit from permanent eyebrows.

From a few strokes to fill small areas to total brow recreation, your technician can give you the freedom of never needing eyebrow pencil again. Women who apply eyebrow pencil will now be able to go swimming, play tennis, or wipe perspiration from their foreheads without the embarrassment of losing their eyebrows. Individuals suffering from thin brows or medical conditions such as Alopecia will be pleased with how natural the procedure looks.

What do you offer for lips?

Lips are as important as eyebrows. In recent months, the lip liner has lost popularity and the trend is very much towards a perfectly shaped mouth that looks natural and with a subtle flush of colour. This is stunning and can change the appearance of the lower part of the face with incredible results. Cosmetic Tattooing gives volume and fullness to every woman’s lips

What do you offer for the eye area?

The eyes are the window to the soul. Eyes are an internal reflection of arousal, attraction, interest, and how we feel about ourselves and others. Our professional staff can enhance the eyelash line with placement of little dots of colour between the eyelashes. This gives the appearance of thicker, more luscious lashes. The eyes can be further adorned with almond eyeliner, shaped to bring a deeper more seductive look.

How do I maintain my cosmetic tattooing work?

Our qualified technicians will recommend a colour boost to keep your makeup absolutely perfect. Whilst permanent makeup is ‘low maintenance’ it is not ‘no maintenance’ and for that reason to keep the appearance fresh and effective clients are advised to return to the clinic at 9 – 12 month intervals. Still incredible considering most other beauty or hair treatments need regular attention, this is so easy and convenient.

Do you offer any paramedical and/or reconstructive cosmetic tattooing services?

Several of our technicians specialise in reconstructive camouflage and clinical tattooing, which can conceal scarring using permanent makeup. We also have technicians experienced in hair transplant scar concealing, addressing thinning hair and breast cosmetic tattooing to address scars or improve uneven areolas.

My eyebrows have changed colour—what should I do?

Poorly done cosmetic tattooed can be corrected so do not despair. We do unfortunately do many corrections as a result of poor work from other technicians, so be very smart and do your homework before you end up with poorly done tattooing!

How long does cosmetic tattoo last?

The pigment can last for up to 5 years. Lighter colours will fade faster than the darker colours. The good news is that you are never stuck with a colour. It can be modified or changed.

What tools do you use?

We use rotary machines The Rotary is an electric pen like machine especially designed for cosmetic tattoo. It evenly distributes and implants the colour into the dermal layer of the skin. These soft, natural looking colours bring the best out of your features and result in a natural appearance, instead of the harsh traditional tattoo colours.

Where do the colours come from?

We use a few pigment brands. One is Swiss which comes from Swiss Colour International that uses red from an organic plant source that has been synthesized and is free from all allergens to create the safest and natural shades on the market.

Another pigment we use is from IIPC Absolute Perfection from the United States. Their pigment is made with FDA-approved ingredients out of iron oxides that are dispersed in alcohol and glycerine, which are organic substances. All of our pigments are of the highest quality.

How long does each procedure take?

This depends on the area treated. Eyebrows take approximately 1.5 hours, however each eyebrow takes usually only 15 minutes to do and most of the time is spent on consultation. Lip blend (including lip line) takes about 2 hours.

What is involved in healing and after-care?

Swelling may last from 2 to 72 hours, this is very individual. Aftercare will be covered before your procedure, and an aftercare sheet is provided for you to take home.

Cosmetic Tattoo colour will appear extremely intense and thick immediately after the procedure, this will fade in 5 to 10 days. Colours will continue to soften over the next couple of months.

Do I need to take any time off work?

Most people do not need to take time off. Cold packs can be applied straight after the treatment to help reduce any swelling.

Will I need more than one appointment for my procedure?

Lips and eyebrows usually need a second treatment within 8 weeks Eyeliner does not always need a second treatment, depending on the absorption of the pigments.

Do I come in to my appointment with or without make up?

Preferably without makeup. You can draw on your own lip line or eyebrows before you come in so I can see what shape you like, or I can draw them on for you.

You can also bring your favourite lipsticks, lip liners, eyeliners and brow pencils, so we can decide on the colour.

Should I shave my eyebrows before my appointment?

Most certainly not. Although we can change the shape of the brows, we try to keep the eyebrows as natural looking as possible.

Am I too old to have cosmetic tattoo?

Cosmetic Tattoo is suitable for all ages. Elderly people can find it hard to apply makeup, but still want to look good. Our clients range from 18 to 94.

Do I have a choice of colour?

We have a range of colours that can easily be blended to the desired shade.

What is the difference between eyebrow-shading and eyebrow-hairstrokes?

Eyebrow-shading is a technique where you are left with a brow pencil effect. This technique goes by many names, such as shading, ombre etc.

Eyebrow-hair stokes is a technique that fills in the gaps in the eyebrow. The results resemble natural brow hairs. This is a very popular treatment for those that don’t want solid shading.

What is the difference between eyeliner and lash-enhancement?

Eyeliner is a solid line which can be any thickness.

With the lash enhancement, pigment is inserted in tiny little dots between the lashes, thus giving the eyes definition, without creating a line. Ideal for those that like a no-makeup look, but still require definition. Some clients prefer a full line on the upper lid but just want enhancement of the lower lid to create a look of fuller lashes.
